The instrumental acoustic guitar CD

Wabash Gypsies is Scott's collaboration with the one guitarist who can finish his musical sentences — Kevin Ludwig. He described the writing partnership with Kevin as "electrifying" as the two began writing the instrumental acoustic guitar music together in bits and pieces.

Scott Greeson performs with guitarist Kevin Ludwig in support of their Wabash Gypsies acoustic CD, featuring a collection of original acoustic guitar tunes written by Scott and Kevin. This act was originally conceived in support of the 2006 PBS documentary about the Wabash River. Scott and Kevin wrote music for that documentary and appeared in the film performing several original tunes. Along with the audience-pleasing instrumentals you’ll hear at these shows, you will also be treated to tunes that incorporate vocals into the mix – both originals and covers. Scott and Kevin are frequently joined by bassist Greg Brassie and vocalist /accordionist Vickie Maris Greeson at their shows. Both Brassie and Maris Greeson appear on the Wabash Gypsies CD. This group plays at a variety of venues where music and people meet for a relaxing and memorable event. In the fall of 2009, they opened for Peter Tork (the Monkees) to rave reviews.

Created over a decade of writing and improvising, the two musicians discovered a remarkable improvisational chemistry that resulted in songs relating to the history of the Wabash River and the
early inhabitants there. As the writing continued, it evolved into a project that became very personal, a tribute to Dickens of a Christmas 2009Scott's first wife Janet, who died Oct. 13, 2006 at age 43 after a lifelong struggle with congenital heart disease. A portion of the proceeds from this CD are being donated to the Adult Congenital Heart Association in Janet's memory, to help patients, their families and their physicians overcome this disease. It is available at McGuire Music and Sound at (765) 474-2942, and Barnes & Noble in Lafayette at (765) 449-4330, and through CD Baby and iTunes.
